Gtdagenda now syncs with Evernote, and you can attach Evernote notes to your Gtdagenda account.

Evernote is the ultimate storage solution for your notes, your "External Brain". Keep all your reference material in Evernote and link what you need to your Gtdagenda projects and contexts.

How it works

1) First go to the Extra > Evernote menu on top of your Gtdagenda account, to do the initial synchronization with Evernote.

2) After completing this step successfully, a "Notes" menu will be activated in Gtdagenda. Use it for quick access to your notes.

3) To attach notes to any of your contexts and projects, simply click the "Attach Note" link at the bottom of every context and project.

Am I correct that you can only attach a note that is already in Evernote?  You cannot make a note in GTDagenda and have it go to Evernote?

I'm so excited about this new feature.  However, in both IE 8 and FF 3.63 on Windows 7 I can only choose the last 7 notes I've created - the drop down arrow appears to be hidden underneath the list of contexts and I can't access it.

Am I correct in saying we will only be able to attach or refer an EN file or note in contexts and projects but not in tasks?

@bballexec: Thanks for your suggestion. It sounds like a great idea to add notes from within Gtdagenda, but right now you can only view Evernote notes.

@karamon: Seems like a CSS problem. We'll look at it asap.

@patchrik: Yes, right now you can attach notes to contexts and projects only.

Two questions
1) What is the criteria that GTDAgenda is using to display notes from Evernote? Most recently added? Most recently updated?

2) When does the list of notes refresh? Would be nice to be able to refresh the list with a push of a button instead of waiting on some timer.

@Dan - any update on the note selection issue from Evernote? I use Evernote pretty extensively so seeing this fixed would be great.

I wanted to weigh in on the issue of there being only a few notes in the dropdown list for Evernote notes. So far, none of the E-notes I have needed to add showed up on that list.  Embarrassed

So the Evernote attachment feature (I have 500+ notes, a number of which I would like to attach to tasks or projects) is pretty much useless if I can't attach the note I need to attach (personally, I get 10 notes in the dropdown box -- can't tell how they are selected).

Any progress on this?

Thanks,
Laurie

I have to agree with those who find the Evernote integration extremely disappointing. What is the use of attaching notes if you cannot actually choose whatever note you want? I mean, really! Also, unless I am missing something, you can only attach ONE note to each project. This seems like an alpha version of Evernote integration, or a proof of principle. For a much more mature and useful integration, see Nozbe. The good idea they had was to make so that if you tagged the note in Evernote with the name of a Nozbe project, it would automatically appear attached to that project in Nozbe. Multiple notes are possible, too. I would love to see GTDAgenda put together something with that degree of usability!
Best wishes,
David
